Strategies
This information is taken from 2 books: Visual-Spatial Learners by Alendra Shires Golon and Right-Brained Children in a Left-Brained World Unlocking the Potential of your ADD Child by Jeffrey Freed M.A.T and Laurie Parsons, both of which are full of insights into the learning styles that visual learners (right hemispheric learners) possess. There are many different strategies to try with students that are strong visual-spatial learners.
Research has found that about 1/3 (33%) of your classroom are probably visual-spatial learners (VSL), about ¼ (25%) probably are auditory-sequential, and the rest (42%) do not lean strongly either way.
